2nd Annual Automotive Authors Day, Saturday, November 17, 2007, 2-5pm. Sponsored by the Friends of the Detroit Public Library and the National Automotive History Collection (NAHC), this annual event features some 20 national automotive authors for a “meet and greet” event, with readings and book signings (books will be available for purchase at the event). Among this year’s authors are Larry Gustin (biographies of David Buick and Billy Durant), Beverly Rae Kimes (“Pioneers of the Early U.S. Auto Industry”), David Lewis (“Public Image of Henry Ford”), Mike Davis (“The Arsenal of Democracy”), and Charles Hyde (“The Dodge Brothers”).
