This is excellent! Im hopeful that this will be a HUGE success. It has to be, if the city is to get more grocers like this. |

Great! I was getting tired of going to Krogers in RO Town. I hate it there anyway. Any news on the ol Farmer Jack on St Jean/Jefferson? |

That's GREAT! I live in Green Acres and that store would be a lot closer for us than going to the Wyoming & 8 Mile Krogers. |

How do people like the quality at Mike's on Gratiot? I'm thinking about going over and want some feedback. |

I've seen the workers at the Mike's on Gratiot put price stickers over the expired dates on luncheon meats. Not so fresh. It also smells in there. |

I agree with Ed_Golick. The store's not all it's dished up to be by their owners. Last time I went to the one on Gratiot, I experienced the same issues that Ed did. I shop at Glory for my food. Great atmosphere, variety, cleanliness, and OK prices. (Message edited by Detroitrise on October 24, 2007) |

They have 5 different locations (their brand new building on 8 Mile and Groesbeck on the Eastside, plus Highland Park, Hamtramack, Southfield/Outer Drive and 7 Mile and Telegraph where the Farmer Jacks were). |

We just stopped in to check out the store and were surprised that the lot was nearly full AND the store is VERY nice. Great cheese selection and a decent wine shop. The store was spotless, bright and the stock was great. |

^^^Yeah, that's exactly how Kroger was when they first opened. Most of you remember how that all evolved by 2004. |

It's a bit off-topic, but what are the names of teh 4 Grocers in the city of Detroit with square feet of 20,000 or more. I know one is Mikes, the Glory on 8 Mile, I'm guessing the other Mikes, but what is the other one? |
