Specifically, the Detroit Life and GAR Buildings since they had firm plans for redevelopment. There was some construction activity earlier this year at the Detroit Life , but nothing for months now. As for the GAR, there's been nothing since the building was awarded to him almost a year ago. Are we see going to see progress anytime soon? (Message edited by eric on October 15, 2007) |

I saw a Beal Demo truck (no covered up logo) outside of the Fine Arts Building yesterday. There has been 1 level of scaffolding outside of the building since Friday I believe. |

It was stated earlier that Beal had a $3 million contract to rehab the Det Life Bldg. |

I have been wondering about this as Chin Tiki and the Moose Lodge have fencing around it and right this minute they are unloading a ton of port-a-potties in the Statler Lot. They have also had surveyors all around these blocks for the last two weeks. Something is definitely up! How can it be that no one has heard anything? |

The port-a-johns are probably for the marathon. I think it's this weekend. |

Did anyone bother to ask Gistok about this? He seems to have the inside scoop on all this stuff at least three days in advance. |
