I would like to know if anyone knows if 1201 Woodward Avenue and the building next to it is for sale? One is on the corner of State St. & Woodward Avenue down from the Detroit Breakfast place. I would like to know some information until I pay the City of Detroit to use the online system to view important information about the two buildings.

Is 1201 Woodward Avenue next to the building with the graffiti?

I'm not trying to buy the building. I was asked by someone to look up some information on it. They wanted to know who the owner was and was it for sale or lease. I thought since the forum is so informative I would ask here first before I went to the city to pay a fee just to view something I could find on here.

Does the $4 get you like plans and elevations of the building or some additional info. other than what you can find on your own?

I've never heard of Kefallinos selling any of his properties. He seems to acquire them and hold onto them.

Every time I see that deteriorating wreck at Temple and Cass, I wish it would get knocked down. It would improve the neighborhood and there would be a clear view of the Masonic from Cass Avenue. But it just sits there, like so many of Kefallinos' properties.

BTW, the graffiti's been cleaned up on the Fowler building (Twelve-25)... both the large stuff above the overhang and some paint on the windows has been removed, and large banners have been placed in the windows and on the building advertising occupancy by '08.
