Can we call them the "Big 3" again, instead of the Big 2.5?

A more accurate moniker would be the "Little 3" - after all, they no longer sell the majority of vehicles in the US.

they're still 3 of the biggest US corporations in operation... they're still the big 3.

talking about internet firms, one would be a FOOL to not include google, if not label them the BIGGEST most important net firm... yet their revenue + number of employees is dwarfed by even chrysler.

Yvette248--perhaps I can explain: Cerberus capitol bought 80.1% of Chrysler from Daimler Benz AG, they still retain the other 19.9% and will continue to cross-market products and technology.
SO.........My "2.801" was an allusion to the fact that 80.1% of Chrysler is an American company, in the literal sense. Is it still scary?

GM, Ford, and Foreign automakers that are publicly traded are not 100% owned by the parent corporation.....The Big 3 it is. The trick will be keeping it that way. If Chrysler doesn't rebound, Cerebrus could sell it off in pieces.
