There is a one day sales event for the The Griswold at the Detroit Opera House from Noon-6pm.
This should be an exciting even if you're not interesting in purchasing a unit.
This project with the Book Cadillac will be a catalyst for the area. I can't wait until it’s done.
These condos will go fast when they start to erect the building

They rolled out their base finishes as well as some info on upgrades and their new one bedroom units. Good info on views and amenities. They're also taking hard money deposits now (vs. the soft money reservations they were taking in March).

Saw a chart that showed at least half of them gone, but it's not clear how many of those were reservations vs. actual sales. It appeared that the bulk of penthouses are spoken for as well as many of the one and two bedrooms on the Southern side. The new one-bedrooms (largely on the northern face) were definitely generating a buzz.

Is the total height still 17 stories?

Little confusing. The top floor of condos is 16, with a second story for the penthouses at 17. That said, there is no "13th" floor (in deference to the old hotel superstition I suppose), so the actual height ground to roof-top is really 16 floors. It appears however, that the building top really lines up with the 17th floor of the Book because the floor-to-floor heights are greater than in the neighboring buildings. Bottom-line, it will stand around 17 stories on the skyline.

According to my information, 60 or the 80 units have solid reservations on them. The developer is not selling the remaining 20 units until closer to the grand opening in Oct. 2008.

Some of the penthouses are 2 stories and it is my understanding that yes, they will have a 13th story on the building.
