Article from the Detroit News regarding new development on Woodward. It goes on to mention different loft developments, and The Shops at Gateway Park.

"We think Woodward is the corridor that will put the city back together," said developer Schrott. "It's got traffic, visibility. Everyone knows where Woodward is."

Well, that'd be different. For decades Woodward has been the avenue that SEPARATED Detroit between the west side and those horrible folks and places on the east side............. :-)

Hey, the eastside is getting Gateway Park, Many of the D's Gems, and the Eastside has that horrible State Fair Ground that Westsiders attend yearly.

Technically, the State Fairgrounds is on the west side. East and west is separated by John R north of McNichols.
