Why is desirability so high when the demand is low? None of this was like this 5 years ago, and the demand was still the same.

Five years ago, was not the same. Few people could see themselves living in Detroit. Or maybe new construction is cheaper these days or something.

It just took a little spark to get people optimistic again. Compuware to Campus Martius to GM at the Renaissance to Merchants Row to...whatever. Five years ago everyone was still holding their breath to see if they could market something out of nothing. Looks like there was (and is) a little bit more than nothing in the City.

Yeah, just wait until MI is no longer in the "one-state" recession. Then things can only get better...
