In conjunction with the exhibition "Baseball as Art," the Detroit Artists Market is pleased to resurrect the tradition of Artists & Writers Softball in Detroit. Come out and support your local creative athletes.
Fun and laughs are guaranteed!

* First Pitch will be thrown out by Tigers legend DENNY McLAIN
* "National Anthem" & "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" performed by
JOHNNY EVANS and TINO GROSS from THE HOWLING DIABLOS
* KOWALSKI Hot Dogs and beverages available
* Bleacher seating is limited, so bring a lawn chair if you wish

The Baseball-As-Art exhibit at DAM is excellent as well; when I first heard about it, I thought it would be cheesy. It's not. Many media are represented, from painting to sculpture to one really killer installation. Definitely top-notch stuff.
